Hong Tang vs Blackball
Nowadays, desserts become more popular in Jakarta. Blackball and Hong Tang are two desserts shop that known for their famous taiwanese desserts. Many people are willing to queue to try their desserts. I am comparing Hong Tang and Blackball because they have same target market, we can see it from the price of the desserts and bubble tea. Taiwanese dessert usually used Taro Balls, Potato Balls, Pearl, Grass Jelly and shaved ice. Today, I went to Hong Tang (Pantai Indah Kapuk) and i ordered number 28. Unfortunately, the matcha ice cream was sold out. So I chose vanilla ice cream to replace the matcha ice cream. For the soup, Hong Tang used fresh milk. They combined it with main taiwanese dessert ingredients. In the same day, I also try the taiwanese desert from Blackball. Blackball uses various taste of shaved ice for the soup and they combined it with main taiwanese dessert ingridients. We ordered A1 signature dessert series. For those who like milk, sweets dessert Hong Tang is the right place to enjoy the taiwanese dessert. Hong Tang Taro balls and Potato balls are more tasty from Blackball. But the grass jelly of Blackball have a better taste than Hong Tang. Blackball also using less sugar for its taiwanese desserts than Hong Tang.
